Tuesday night, Rusty Lantern Markets was recognized as “Operator of the Year” at the NECSEMA awards dinner. This is the New England regional chapter of the national c-store trade association.
In order to win, we had to be nominated by someone else in the industry. Then, multiple industry judges conducted at least three mystery shops of our location over a three month period. The results of the shops were collected and calculated and the top score wins! During the introduction, we were called out for friendly people, good customer service, clean facility, fresh food, and good merchandising.
I wanted to pass along the good news for a couple reasons.
First, and most importantly, I wanted to say “Thank You” for everything you did to contribute to the recognition. It is not just RLM that won the award. Without the locations and facilities and everything else we collectively do at the sites, this award is not possible. So in a very real sense, this award reflects the excellent teamwork of us ALL.
Second, I know we have grown quickly and I can imagine that some bank somewhere has questioned you about doing so much with us so quickly. I hope this award can justify that confidence and trust you have shown in us.
And, finally, since you are such a big part of it all, the award can/should add a little to the whole “Priority Management” brand that you are growing.
